Service Animal
Tasks that may qualify an animal as a "service animal" include guiding the blind, providing balance for people with difficulty walking, retrieving objects, companionship, and alerting deaf individuals to sounds. Some animals that work as service animals are horses, monkeys and dogs. All such animals go through rigorous training to perform these tasks and are to be considered working animals when approached by others than the owner. Distractions have the potential to endanger the owner or cause behavioral problems in the animal.
